And if you see a green
colored milestone on the side of a road, then it means you are on a state
highway. The maintenance of these roads is the responsibility of the respective
state governments.
Also, if you see an
orange milestone somewhere, it means you are on a rural road. Which has been
constructed in Panchayat area under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.
