Through this cave you can go from Kashmir to Russia
There is a natural cave in India's
Kashmir through which you can reach Russia. Local people believe that people
from Russia used to come through this cave. At Kupwara in the Lolab Valley of
Kashmir, there is a huge rock between the villages of Lashtial and Madhamadu,
but no one knows exactly when it has been there. From the outside, it appears
to be a rock, but it is actually part of a mountain. It has seven entrances in
a row.
But this natural cave path was later
arranged by man as his own, it can be understood by looking at this cave. But
when and who used this cave, there is no historical evidence. However, many
local residents claim that they have heard from their family elders that in the
past, people from Russia used to come to India through that cave.
This stone is named 'Satbaran' from
seven doors. And according to local belief, one of these seven cave routes
ended up in Russia at the other end. From that belief the local area got its
name Qila-e-Russh or Kalarush, i.e. Fort of Russia.
In 2018, Amber and Eric Fays came
from Virginia, USA to solve the mystery of this cave. The pair of explorers
began their search with three entrances to the cave. They were assisted in this
expedition by Ohio speleologist Dustin Kisner and Indian explorer and
interpreter Bhamsi Ramakrishna and an engineer from Kerala.
In their research paper after the
expedition, the Fays couple said they had heard from local residents that the
rock was not just part of the mountain. Rather, this Satbaran is actually an
ancient temple located at a height of 1900 meters or 6234 feet above sea level.
Where the Panchapandavas who were hidden life in the Mahabharata used to worship.
Later the temple was destroyed or destroyed due to natural causes at some
point. American explorers found evidence of this theory among local residents.
But all the ways inside this cave
are closed after some distance. However, with the help of explosions, the
Indian Army tried to completely close the cave passages. It was alleged that
ferocious bears used to camp in these caves and attack villages. However, at
present, no animal other than the Himalayan porcupine has been found there.
Although there is no historical
evidence, the couple of American explorers are sure that this cave is rich in
minerals. Besides, it was suspected for a long time that militants might have
entered India from abroad through this cave. But this finding has virtually
eliminated that fear.
