From Nepal stones are coming for Rama Idol
Devotees will see a handsome, moke, full-grown Rama statue about
three feet tall in the new temple at Ramjanmabhoomi Ayodhya. Special stone
blocks are already being brought to Ayodhya from Nepal for this idol. But this
rock is no ordinary rock. The Shalgram rock which is considered to be the
counterpart of Lord Vishnu in Hindu scriptures, will be made of the new Ram
idol of Ayodhya's new Ram temple. Two Shalgram rock fragments were found in the
Kali Gandaki River in Nepal. Ayodhya's Ramjanmabhoomi Tirthkshetra Trust wants
the two rocks from the Nepal government. Recently, the Nepal government and the
Ministry of Minerals and Geological Affairs of Nepal have given permission to
give the two rocks to India. According to the Ministry of Minerals and Geology
of Nepal, the two rock fragments weigh 35 tons, and the age can be 60 million
years. These two Shallgram rock fragments were found in the Kali Gandaki river
in Nepal.
But now the question is what will happen to Ramlala! Ramlala
means baby Ram, a statue of him was found in 1949 under the central dome of
Babri. After that, various controversies started and in 1986, the court ordered
to open the entrance to the disputed land for the Puja of Shishu Ram. 6 years
later, the Babri Masjid was destroyed in various controversies. However, the
Supreme Court put an end to all these in November 2019. After giving the
disputed 2.77 acres of land in Ayodhya to the Achi Parshad for the construction
of a Hindu temple, the Supreme Court ordered an additional 5 acres of land to
be given to the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of a mosque.
Ramlala is being worshiped there for now by building a temporary
temple, but when the idol is installed in the new Ram temple in a few days,
devotees will be able to stand at a distance of 19 feet from it. The small
Ramlala statue cannot be seen from there. The decision of the new idol is based
on the fear that the fans will be inconvenienced.
